The Junior and Intermediate students of St. Gregory School will welcome three special guests as part of an exciting approach to learning federal, provincial and municipal government jurisdictions.

The students in Ms. Shanna Madigan’s Grade 6/7 and Ms. Kelly Madigan’s Grade 8 classes will be the hosts to the following lessons educating students on the three levels of government:

Friday, November 23 @ 11:00 a.m.: Bruce Keddy and Patricia Tollie of the Canadian Armed Forces will educate students on Canada’s military missions as well as NORAD’s unique role during the Cold War.

Tuesday, November 27 @ 9 a.m.: North Bay Mayor Vic Fedeli will speak to students about the municipal government and his mayoral duties.

Wednesday, December 19 @ 11 a.m.: Nipissing MPP Monique Smith will address provincial politics and her role as our local representative in the provincial legislative assembly at Queen’s Park.
