The Near North District School Board is proud to announce their latest reason to celebrate: South Shore Education Centre, one of the board’s 36 elementary schools, has earned a spot in the top 25 schools in Canada! The article can be found in the September issue of the national parenting magazine, Today’s Parent, now available on newsstands. It features a shortlist of the most innovative and noteworthy schools in the country.

South Shore was named a “one of a kind” school, recognized for the unique aspects that are part of the normal school day: extensive outdoor programming such as hiking and cross-country skiing and an all-day full-week kindergarten program boasting French, computer skills, and music.
