Another snowmobile fatal accident

Two men were riding the sled when it hit the tree, but police don't have a cause as yet.

It's been a bad season for deaths involving snowmobiles, and today OPP are reporting another.

They say at about 1:10 a.m. today, Bracebridge OPP, were called to a trail outside of the Town of Mactier in Georgian Bay Twp. to a collision involving a snowmobile and a tree.

Two brothers were riding the sled when it hit the tree, but police don't have a cause as yet.

The driver, Matthew Lusk, age 34 from Georgian Bay Twp. was dead at the scene.

The passenger,  his 31 year old brother Tom, also from Georgian Bay Twp. was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The Georgian Bay Fire Department and Muskoka Paramedic Service were also at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the OPP Central Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit.
