City police say that a complaint from a local pharmacy regarding the receipt of suspected counterfeit Fentanyl patches led them to arrest a 59-year old woman at her home on Thursday April 14th.
She is charged with:
- 10 counts of fraud under $5,000; and
- 10 counts of drug trafficking.
North Bay police say that on 10 occasions from August 2015 to February 2016, the accused brought in counterfeit Fentanyl patches to a local pharmacy in order to renew her prescription under the Patch4Patch program.
She is also accused of trafficking Fentanyl patches, with a street value estimated at $33,750, during this time period.
The accused was released from custody with a court date scheduled for June 7th.
