UPDATED WITH PHOTO And our first baby of 2018 is...

The baby was delivered at 12:10 a.m.

A boy, and he was born to Dawn Mcleod and Nathan Woolcott.

The North Bay Regional Hospital tweeted today that the baby was delivered at 12:10 a.m. today (Monday) and weighed 6 lbs 8oz.

The family lives just outside of Sturgeon Falls.

"Everyone is well, just waiting for some final test results for discharge this afternoon," Dad Nathan told BayToday. "Baby does have two older sisters at home, Reawna aged 9, and Trinity aged 8.

"We would definitely like to extend our gratitude to the North Bay Regional and the staff of the labour and delivery unit here, specifically Dr. Waja who oversaw the pregnancy and RN Jannelle, who's been extremely helpful and supportive during our past few days here."

The couple has named their baby Micah Darius Gage Woolcott.
