Ambushed!

Two Canadore College students have been arrested and charged
after drivers and a jogger were ambushed and hit with paint balls along College Drive Monday.

Constables Barry McIntosh and Jason Long of the North Bay Police Service received a radio call around 10 p.m. that a man had allegedly been hit by a paint ball while on College Drive.

When the officers responded, they found that several vehicles had also been struck by paint balls.

The man was struck in the leg and did not require medical attention.

Long and McIntosh investigated and found two males with a paint ball gun walking out of the bush.

Wes Blimkie, 19, of College Drive, in North Bay, is charged with weapons dangerous and is appear in court on Dec. 14.

Aldo Signorini, 18, of College Drive, is charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon.

He is to appear in court Dec. 14 as well.

Police confirmed both men are Canadore College students.

The North Bay Police Service requests that anyone else who has had their vehicle paint balled contact them at 497-5555.
