Police have arrested and charged two people with drug-related offences.
On June 6, members from the Community Street Crime Unit of the OPP, executed a Controlled Drug Substance Act search warrant at a residence on King Street, Sturgeon Falls.
A search of the residence led to the seizure of drug paraphernalia, Canadian and U.S. cash, digital scales, an air gun, and drugs suspected to be Fentanyl, methamphetamine, opioid and cocaine.
Two people have been arrested, Chantel Duchane, 42, from West Nipissing and Darcy Young, 32, from Garden Village Nipissing First Nation, are both were charged with:
- Three counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Production of anything for use in, production of/trafficking in, schedule I or schedule III substance
Both were released and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 3 in North Bay.
