The instillation of the door is step one of the Centre’s drive to make the entire building accessible to everyone.

Capitol Centre Manager Dee Adrian says making the arts accessible to everyone is paramount. She also highlights that they have interior and exterior ramps as well as a wheelchair on hand to help patrons to and from their car.

The Centre’s next major project is to have the building outfitted with an elevator that runs from the basement to the second floor and officials say fundraising is underway now.
