Great food, good company and a special cause are cooking for April 28th, 2010 as the annual 'A Taste For Life' AIDS fundraiser gets prepped for North Bay diners.

Five city restaurants, the White Owl Bistro (472-2662), 100 Georges (476-2666), Cecil's Eatery and Beer Society (472-7510), Joso's (474-5800) and Average Joe's (474-1982) will be donating 25% of that night's dinner receipts to the AIDS Committee of North Bay & Area (ACNBA). All donations will help fund ACNBA clients' services.

Nipissing Lakers president, Al McDonald and wife Wendy will be hosting at Cecil's, Rogers Radio host, Mitch Belanger and city counsellor Mike Anthony will do the honours at 100 Georges, ACNBA HIV Education Coordinator, Dennis Chippa will be attending Average Joe's, ACNBA Communications Coordinator, Kirk Titmuss will be back at the White Owl Bistro and ACNBA Board Chair Erin Dokis will be on hand at Joso's.

'A Taste For Life' coordinator, Kathleen Jodouin says the annual, national event is a wonderful opportunity for people to help those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.

"All anyone has to do is book a table at one of the great restaurants helping us out, order a delicious meal and enjoy their evening in the company of friends or family," smiles Jodouin. "We'll do the rest."

Jodouin encourages area residents to reserve their 'A Taste For Life' tables with one of the featured restaurants right away to ensure getting in on the fun and fine dining.
