There’s a unique and very old North Bay video that has been circulating through social media lately.

The old 90 second commercial was shot between 1958 and 1960 here in the Gateway city.

The Esso commercial was shot at an old Esso Service Station located on Trout Lake Road.

The 90 second spot had a number of scenes including the service station attendant changing out of his work uniform and into a striped referees jersey to officiate a street hockey game near the gas pumps.

Scenes shot at an outdoor arena were believed to be shot at the Burke Playground.
