A changing of the guard

Colonel Rick Pitre (r) offers some last minute advise to incoming 22 Wing, CFB North Bay commander Colonel Martin Galvin after the official ceremony Wednesday.

The day was full of pomp and circumstance as Colonel Rick Pitre handed over the command of 22 Wing, CFB North Bay to incoming commander Colonel Martin Galvin.

Pitre says he will miss the North Bay but looks forward to attending the prestigious Royal College of Defence Studies in London, England for a year’s study.

Incoming commander Colonel Galvin is no stranger to the Bay as he has had two past assignments under the training and air weapons controller sections.
