OPP say a 55-year-old Cobalt man is under arrest after a search warrant was executed yesterday morning at a residence on West Cobalt Road.
Officers had started an investigation into alleged sexual offences that occurred between March 16 and May 13, 2020 in Cobalt.
Jody Bigelow was arrested and is charged with:
- Luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication
- Luring a person under 18 years of age by means of telecommunication
- Transmit sexually explicit material to a person under 16 years of age
- Indecent exposure to a person under 16 years of age
- Two counts of voyeurism
Bigelow is being held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date in Temiskaming Shores.
Members of the Temiskaming Crime Unit of the OPP, the Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, and the Digital Forensic Unit assisted in the investigation.
