North Bay Police have charged a 60-year old North Bay man of sexually assaulting a child.
At approximately one o'clock yesterday aternoon a complainant called police about a suspected sexual assault incident involving a child victim and the accused.
The child had reported the assault to the caller.
Following an investigation, police arrested and charged the man with three counts of sexual offences.
The accused was held in custody overnight awaiting a bail hearing today.
The child victim is known to the accused. In order to protect the identity of the victim, North Bay Police will not be releasing the name of the accused.
