6 Local students raise funds for cancer research

For the third straight year the youngsters above have set up shop at the corner of Copeland Street and Murray Street to raise money for their hero – Terry Fox.

Each year they accept donations from passers-by in
exchange for home baking and lemonade. This year’s fundraising efforts saw Hot Chocolate added to the menu as Saturday proved to be a cold one.

This past Sunday the kids ventured down to the North Bay Waterfront to present the $250 they raised to the Terry Fox Day Organizers.
