13th annual live butterfly release set for July in memory of those lost to the pandemic

The Near North Palliative Care Network will host the 13th Annual Live Butterfly Release on Saturday, July 09th, 11 a.m. to noon at the Kiwanis Band Shell

"This will be an open Celebration of Life, completely free of charge, to all communities within a radius of 150km around North Bay, in memory of all our loved ones lost during the pandemic," says a news release.

The event will also be live-streamed from North Bay on YouTube and Facebook to those who can’t come to North Bay in person.

Participants reserve their live butterflies to be released at the North Bay waterfront during the event.

All proceeds stay with the NNPCN to allow the hospice to continue providing free palliative care and bereavement services locally, to all communities in Nipissing and East Parry Sound Districts: West Nipissing, North Bay and area, Mattawa region, Almaguin region, Temagami, and more.
