East Algoma OPP say they arrested a 13-year-old today in relation to an ongoing sexual assault investigation in Elliot Lake.
"In April the Crime Unit and uniform members received numerous sexual assault-related complaints from multiple victims," says an OPP release.
"All of the complainants reported being sexually assaulted by the same person, and as such an investigation commenced," said Constable Phil Young.
A 13-year-old, from Elliot Lake, is charged with:
- Nine counts of sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age
- Assault with a weapon
- Failure to comply with an undertaking
The teen is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on June 5..
