The eleventh annual TP North Bay Campaign is preparing for another season of collecting.
The bottom line is residents and businesses will be asked to donate toilet paper for those in need.
"We are gearing up for another year of collecting toilet paper from April 26 to May 27," says Chair Ellen Faulkner.
"In 2023 we collected 27,350 rolls. In 10 years, we have collected a grand total of 198,383 rolls to help the clients of more than 16 local food banks in North Bay."
Faulkner credits the support of businesses, community partners and individuals for their success.
"This is no small task," she adds.
"We are Launching April 26 at Big Brother, Big Sisters 169 Lakeshore Dr, at 11 a.m. When you go out shopping you can drop a few rolls into our blue boxes at your local grocery store, from April 26 to May 25."
You can also drop off TP donations at Allison the Bookman, The Davedi Club or TD Canada Trust Branch, 240 Main Street East.
You can send e-transfers to [email protected] or call Ellen at 705-493-6043 who will be pleased to come by and pick up a TP cheque, cash, or Toilet Paper donation.
For businesses or groups that order from Vaughan Paper during May let them know it is for TP North Bay as there is a preferred pricing for the White Swan at $30.89 plus tax per case.
Faulkner will be at the Algonquin Petro-Canada 1119 Algonquin Ave, Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m.
"We will be on location April 27 at Fresh Co, May 4 at Giant Tiger 251 Algonquin, May 11 at Parker’s Independent Grocers, May 18 Food Basics and May 25 at Giant Tiger 195 Lakeshore, Metro and Ferris Home Hardware.
Other drop locations during business hours, Alison the Bookman, Main St. E, TD Bank (240 Main Street East) and the Davedi Club Airport Road.
