Futurpreneur is hosting its first in-person event in North Bay titled Pitch To Win! on March 30th from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Canadore College, Commerce Court Campus (Room W157).

It's an event for entrepreneurs to learn how to effectively pitch their business idea and for a chance to win a $500 cash prize!

"Before you start your business, and in the early stages of start-up, you will spend a lot of time having conversations with potential customers, partners, and lenders.  It is critical to develop a 2-4 minute pitch that tells your story in a clear and engaging way - a 'Clarity of Offer,'" says a release.

In this session, Dominik Loncar, Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Futurpreneur, will guide you through a simple and effective process to develop and practice your Clarity of Offer. Amongst your peers, you’ll learn how to share your idea, story, and the value you provide. After, you will have the chance to pitch your Clarity of Offer to your peers and a panel of judges, receiving feedback and pitching for the chance to win a prize.

Learning Outcomes:

The four key areas to focus on that makes for a compelling Clarity of Offer

What to avoid in a Clarity of Offer

How to work on areas that need to be strengthened

Entrepreneurs do not need to have a pitch ready beforehand. The idea of the workshop will provide you with a specific method you can use, time-and-time again.  If you are thinking about starting or have just started a business - this is for you.

Eligibility to pitch:

Early-stage or pre-launch businesses with $0-$15,000 in sales in 2022

At least one founder must be 18-39 years of age
