Cambrian College is calling on the best business-minded students

Students have a chance to pitch their best business ideas along with winning some serious cash

Cambrian College in Sudbury is putting the call out to the best and brightest business-minded students who have ideas of how to create a business, grow their business and make money.

It's the Cambrian Student Innovation Challenge, Powered by RBC Future Launch and the deadline is Jan. 19, 2024 — roughly seven weeks from now.

The innovation challenge has been held several times in the past at Cambrian, with positive results, said Cambrian. 

The college said there are prerequisites for taking part in the challenge. 

-You are currently enrolled in a Cambrian College program.

-You have a unique business idea.

-You wouldn’t mind making some extra cash,

Mike Commito, Director of Applied Research and Innovation at Cambrian, said the challenge is very much like a student focused "Dragon's Den," a reference to the popular business-oriented television program.

"Students have a select amount of time to go on stage to do a presentation and they are pitching to real-life judges. And these are leading experts from the business community," said Commito.
