Poem: Just because

Just Because It is what it is, not what it was. Our world disappearing, before our eyes...just because... Because of the wars, that see no end. We can see down the road, but not past the bend. Because of the fires, from that bolt in the sky.

Just Because

It is what it is,

not what it was.

Our world disappearing,

before our eyes...just because...

Because of the wars,

that see no end.

We can see down the road,

but not past the bend.

Because of the fires,

from that bolt in the sky.

Or caused by man,

ever careless we decry.

Because of the heat,

some places most terrible.

One seeks only shade,

to escape the unbearable.

Because of the drought,

crops wither and die.

Some places for months,

not just in July.

Because of the floods,

when a levee does crack.

Or when the sky opens up,

after turning pitch black.

Because of the wind,

as it grows as it howls.

Stand not in its way,

when you hear the growls.

Because of the rumbling,

as the earth does shake.

Places turned to rubble,

by the might of the quake.

Blame Mother Nature.

Point fingers at man.

I fear life on earth,

will be as it began.
