To the editor:
Considering the ever-increased volume of truck traffic on "the By-Pass" isn't it time to have noise barriers installed?
The signs warning about not using engine brakes (Jakebrakes) aren't working and aren't being enforced.
Where we live, between Widdifield School and the bypass, we can hear them - a lot.
I've observed an empty flatbed unit heading northward, going by Independent Grocers using his Jakebrake, obviously for his own entertainment.
Just sayin'
