To the editor:
I see the council finally pushed ahead on the new Taj Mahal of a dual-ice HOCKEY ARENA that they so blatantly call a community centre.
What’s in it for the rest of the population who are not hockey fans…No walking track nor anything else to draw seniors to the far end of town.
Personally, I am discouraged by this decision to waste seniors' tax dollars for nothing ... How about our council take time to actually interview its senior citizens or visit other thriving communities to see what people actually want for their buck?
I am glad I no longer pay taxes to this city to be spent on frivolous items to satisfy the few elites who will benefit.
