A fence and this sign greet west end residents that want access to Lake Nipissing.

To the editor:

It's Mental Health Awareness month.

The mind can go crazy.

Go outside. Be with nature. Breathe fresh air. Be kind to your neighbors.

***RE-OPEN OUR TRAIL ON 10TH STREET***

The closure of 10th (by Apollo) going to the Condo Trail (Trans Canada Trail) has affected the West End Community in a very big way.

The trail was the Jewel of the West End Community and was used every day with very strong neighborhood connections.

Leave the fence up but UNLOCK the opening. With a new mayor and some new councillors, maybe a better solution to solve a problem (that was swept under the carpet) can be reasonably solved.

These decisions were not discussed with anyone in the community (very sad).

The West End Community paid the price for a decision that was used for over 100 years with no incident.

***PLEASE RE-OPEN THE 10TH STREET***
