To the editor:
It says a great deal about us if we feel that a second ice pad at an un-built arena is more important than providing shelter for those unable to find a place to sleep or keep warm in the winter.
Lucky you who can afford to jack up the heat in your cozy shelter. Unlucky you who have no place to warm up when the temperature drops.
There is no compassion for those less fortunate if an empty space with an ice floor is our only concern.
