Just like the flower, Marigold, is blooming in North Bay.
Offering authentic flavours of Indian, Thai, and Indo-Chinese foods, the newly opened Marigold Unique Flavour restaurant is located at the former White Owl Bistro location on Lakeshore Drive.
North Bay is the fourth and newest location for the franchise which has other restaurants located in Huntsville, Bracebridge, and Pembroke.
“Lots of people were asking for us to come here,” explained Chef Amar Karki about the North Bay location.
Your meal can be served with as little or as much heat as your taste buds can handle, whether it is mild, medium or hot.
The restaurant has been open just shy of one month.
“Response has been good,” said Karki who has nearly two decades of cooking experience.
“I’m really enjoying it. People are happy when they come here to Marigold.”
The customers are enjoying the numerous menu choices.
“People are more so going to the Chinese and Thai, lots of people like it, but Indian is also popular, always.”
The Chef says the meals are made fresh daily, with plenty of fresh vegetables and meat choices which include chicken and lamb.
Also found on the menu are Vegetarian and Non-Vege specialty dishes.

Paneer Tikka is a popular Indian appetizer, Tandoori grilled fresh Indian cheese with pepper and onion.
There is also Butter Chicken, Tandoori boneless chicken pieces, fenugreek tomato sauce and cream for those who like something with a bit of a kick to it.
Lamb Rogan Josh is Ontario lamb with brown onion curry and spices.
And Tandoori Chicken which is chicken marinated in yogurt and spice.
