Do you have the perfect setting for a BayToday mystery story?

After a brief fact finding interview about your store conducted via email, Second Saturday Stories will craft a story featuring your building (the more fun facts about the history, building, business etc the better) we want to hear from everyone from new up and comers to well established pillars of the mn community.

Eagle-eyed BayToday readers will have noticed the last edition of Second Saturday stories had some familiar places unique only to North Bay and area.

The reception that story got was so well received that we decided to issue an invitation to other businesses looking to be featured in the column.

North Bay is rich in history and part of what’s made that history so vibrant is the names you grew up with. One just has to take a stroll down Main street to see iconic names like Dawson Shoes & Antiques and Carmine Ricciuti Men's Wear rubbing elbows with new kids on the block like Good Glaze doughnuts and Main Supply Refillery & Goods.

All of these and more are rich settings for stories to take place in, so if you want your storefront involved in the fictional worlds found in Second Saturday Stories, we want to hear from you.

Here’s what to do:

Email Mark at [email protected] and let him know you want your business featured.

As a proud resident of the city for over 20 years I love reading stories about North Bay's past and present. Here at Second Saturday Stories we want to create work that lasts long into the future, but we can’t do it without your help.

And hey, if you’re a fiction writer or a poetry writer and you’ve been inspired by North Bay enough to write a piece of work on it, why not have it featured in the column, we’re always on the lookout for new voices to showcase.
