Second Saturday Stories resumes this week with the continuation of the horror story The Wraith.
When three teen ghost hunters enter an abandoned Sanitarium they hope to find proof of the afterlife as well as a potential energy source. Set in the Atomic Age with ties to the sinking of the Titanic 40 years prior, The Wraith highlights the battle between technology and nature, and the futility of one attempting to conquer the other.
This week Merfey Davis finds himself exploring the bowels of the building alone. As his confidence drains he finds himself twisting deeper into the crypt-like sanitarium, eventually losing himself in its twists and turns. At the centre of this hellish maze he is confronted by a spectre from his past both familiar and horrifying. Running scared he finds himself trapped in a dead end. In his pursuit he finds a relic from Marshwood Sanitarium's past that acts as a protection against the ghoul he encountered. But in his attempt to defeat one monster, Merfey has infuriated an ultimate evil, one that could leave Merfey and his friends trapped forever.
