Break and enter, pornography charges

Break and Enter

Between Sept. 11 at 11 p.m. and Sept. 12 at 8:30 a.m., a residence on Angus St. was entered through a rear unlocked door. A purse was emptied and a small quantity of cash and bank cards were stolen.

 

Distribute Intimate Image/Child Pornography

On June 26, 2017 the accused 20-year-old Alexander Perron was arrested and charged with Distributing an intimate image without consent. Perron was on an anonymous website advertising that he had several images of females to trade.

The accused was arrested after communicating with an undercover police account and sending intimate images of an adult female victim.

A Samsung cellphone was seized at the time of his arrest and a search warrant was obtained to search for evidence pertaining to the victim as well as further victims.

During the search of Perron’s cellphone a large quantity of intimate images of numerous other females were located.

A second underage victim was identified. Evidence was located on Perron’s phone showing that he had distributed intimate images of the underage female through his email. The photos of the victim meet the criminal code definition of Child Pornography.

As a result of this incident Perron was re-arrested and further charged with another count of the distribution of an intimate image, possession of child pornography and the distribution of child pornography.

He was released on a promise to appear with a court date of Nov. 7, 2017
