BREAK AND ENTER Between the 1st and the 4th of September, the Thrift Shop on McIntyre St was entered and a safe taken. The safe was 1.5ft X 1.5ft and was bolted to a shelf. Thieves removed the shelf with the safe.

Between the 1st and the 4th of September, the Thrift Shop on McIntyre St was entered and a safe taken. The safe was 1.5ft X 1.5ft and was bolted to a shelf. Thieves removed the shelf with the safe. The safe contained a minimal amount of cash. Cst Penny Kerr is investigating.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE STATS
Over the week of August 28th to September 4th, the North Bay Police responded to 29 domestic related occurrences that resulted in four males and 3 females being charged with a total of 9 offences.

The men were charged with three counts of assault, assault with a weapon, criminal harassment and possession of stolen property. The women were charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, and breach of undertaking.

All the men were released on undertaking s with a court date. Two women were released on undertakings with a court date and one was held in custody for a bail hearing.

TRAFFIC CAUTION
Airport Rd is closed this morning between Obrien St and Golf Course Rd. We are asking drivers in that area to be extra vigilant this morning because of heavy traffic and the number of students particularly on Bain St and Golf Course Rd. The morning commute may be a little slower and we are asking drivers to be cautious and patient.
