UPDATE - Pedestrian struck by pick-up truck on Monday

Following a news release issued yesterday, North Bay Police are continuing to investigate a fail to remain collision involving a pedestrian. Police are currently reviewing video footage obtained by mall security.

A female pedestrian in her sixties was struck by the mirror of a pick-up truck at approximately

7 p.m. on Monday November 24th while she was walking across the southbound lane of the crosswalk in front of the main entrance of department store at a shopping mall on Fisher. She fell to the ground as a result of the collision and a concerned citizen transported her to hospital to seek medical attention for her non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver stopped briefly, before fleeing the scene, travelling south through the parking lot to the Fisher Street exit and then proceeding northbound on the by-pass toward Trout Lake Road.

Police seek the public’s assistance in locating the driver of a light grey older model pick-up truck with a loud muffler.
