YOUTH SWARMED

On the 28th of May during the afternoon hours it is alleged that eleven 13 & 14 years old from a North Bay middle school surrounded a much smaller student and pushed him to the ground.

At this time it is further alleged that all of those male students then began to cheer each other on and started kicking the victim in the body and the head. All of this was being filmed on a cell phone camera that one of the youths had.

Investigators have information that leads them to believe that there had been intention of posting this footage on U Tube.

The victim suffered minor scrapes and bruises and the matter was eventually reported to the school authorities who in turn called police.

Csts. Tony Corrente and Jason Long then attended the school in question and provided transportation for all of the suspects the next day and all youths were brought to the North Bay Police Service station.

11 male youths were charged with Assault and released to the custody of their parents.

One of the youths was kept in custody due to previous charges against him.
