Street Crime On the 28th May at 5:09 p.m. officers from the North Bay Police Street Crime Unit observed a drug transaction taking place in a vehicle on the 300 block of First Av W.

On the 28th May at 5:09 p.m. officers from the North Bay Police Street Crime Unit observed a drug transaction taking place in a vehicle on the 300 block of First Av W. The driver of the vehicle, Michael Day 41 years of Douglas St was arrested and a search of his person located 6 pieces of Fentanyl patches, a cell phone and a quantity of cash. He has been charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of property obtained by crime. The vehicle was seized as, offence related property and he has been held in custody for a bail hearing.

Threatening
On May 28th, there were two separate occasions where a man uttered threats to a neighbour. On the first, he said he would get a .38 and shoot them. On the second he said he would throw a Molotov Cocktail through the window. Daniel Barrette 54 yrs of Oak St has been charged with 2 counts of threatening and has been held in custody for a bail hearing. Cst Eric Krmpotic is investigating.

Theft
On the 28th May at 6:30 p.m. a man was sitting in his vehicle parked on Main St W talking on the phone. A woman entered his vehicle and sat down in the passenger seat and asked for a ride. When he refused, the woman exited the vehicle taking the man’s wallet that he had left on the passenger seat. The wallet contained a quantity of cash, credit cards, licences, SIN card, health card, ownerships and other important documents.

The woman is described as; female, white, 5’4”- 5’ 6”, 25-30 yrs, 130 lbs, long straight brown hair past shoulders, bump on the right side of her nose, open sores on the inside of her right elbow and marks on both arms. She was wearing a brown tank top and greyish/white track pants. She was observed in the company of a man described as; tall and thin wearing a ball cap and white bandages covering 4 fingers on his right hand. Cst Ashley St.John is investigating.
