When you park your vehicle, always:
roll up your vehicle’s windows;
lock the doors;
pocket the keys;
put valuables in a locked trunk; and
park in well-lit areas, or in a locked garage.

Never:
leave valuables in plain view;
leave your vehicle unattended while it is running; or
leave your vehicle’s keys in plain view or in an easily assessable area.

Numerous reports of thefts from vehicles

Throughout the course of the day on Tuesday, June 10, the North Bay Police Service received 8 reports of theft from vehicle owners residing in the Airport Hill and Trout Lake Road neighbourhoods. Personal items were stolen overnight on Monday, June 9 from vehicles parked in residential driveways. Stolen items include cell phones, laptops, CDs, cameras and cash.

Report of a stolen vehicle

The North Bay Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with a report of a stolen vehicle.

Between approximately 11 p.m. on Monday, June 9 and 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, a 2012 Ford F-150 FX 4 white truck was stolen from the parking lot of a local restaurant on Seymour Street.
