The North Bay Police Service has been assisting the Coroner’s Office in its investigation into the cause of death of a man whose body was located in the woods

Public’s assistance sought in break and enter investigations

The North Bay Police Service is currently investigating reports of break-ins and attempt break-ins to businesses that occurred overnight at the following locations:
300 block of Algonquin Avenue;
100 block of Worthington Street East; and
100 block of Main Street East.

UPDATE: Deceased man identified

The following is an update to a media release the North Bay Police Service issued on Jan. 7, 2017.

The North Bay Police Service has been assisting the Coroner’s Office in its investigation into the cause of death of a man whose body was located in the woods off Station Road at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017. The investigation concluded that there is no evidence to suggest foul play in the man’s death.

The man has been identified as (John) David Campbell, age 61, of no fixed address, North Bay.

Next of kin have been notified.

Public’s assistance sought in mischief investigation

The North Bay Police Service is currently seeking the public’s assistance in a mischief investigation.

On Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016 at 3:41 p.m. an unknown male entered a bank on Main Street and attempted to pry open a self-serve bank machine causing significant damage.

A suspect is described as:
a Caucasian male;
wearing glasses with a black frame;
wearing a red baseball cap covered by a black hoodie with a white stripe on the back;
wearing blue jeans, a mid-length beige winter coat with two front chest pockets, and winter boots of the same beige colour; and
carrying a black packsack.
