Two men face drug-related charges
Yesterday evening, following an ongoing investigation and the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Fourth Avenue East, officers with the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime Unit arrested and charged:
James Montgomery Stevens, age 49, of North Bay with:
One count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
One count of possession of property obtained by crime; and
One count of breach of probation.
Kayne Robinson, age 21, of Toronto with:
One count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
One count of possession of property obtained by crime; and
One count of possession of marijuana.
As a result of the search, police seized as evidence:
136.3 grams of cocaine with a street value of over $17,000;
eight grams of marihuana; and
over $5,000 in Canadian currency (yet to be reconciled).
Both accused were held in custody for a bail hearing.
