On the 23rd of Aug. Cst. Dix and Marc Ethier of the North Bay Police Service received a call in regards to an eviction within the city.

Upon arrival the officers had to deal with a 54 year old man who was intoxicated after having drank mouthwash. He was charged under the liquor licence act and lodged at Police Headquarters for the remainder of the evening.

HOPE THE SHOE FITS

On the 23rd of Aug. shortly before 2:30 AM Cst. Dix and Marc Ethier of the North Bay Police Service received a call to attend the first hundred block of Lakeheights Dr. in regards to two suspicious males.

The officers arrived and with the help of Acting Sgt. Larry Asselin located two males who were in possession of what is believed to be stolen property.

This property included 2 pairs of men’s Birkenstock shoes. These shoes are believed to be unique and the officers are requesting that the owner claim them at Police Headquarters (497-5555) in order to further the investigation.

The thefts are believed to have taken place in the Sage Rd. residential area of the city.

A 17-year-old male is charged with Break and Enter with Intent and remains in custody for a bail hearing.

Richard BAILEY 18 years old of Laurentian Av. is charged with Break and Enter With Intent and Breach of an Undertaking. He also remains in custody for a bail hearing.

THEFT OF LASER LEVEL

On the 18th of Aug. sometime after 11 AM, someone stole a laser level worth from $8,000 to $12,000. from the construction site at Algonquin Secondary School. Other tools that were in plain view were untouched and the location of the theft was in the Library.
