POINT FIREARM On April 20 shortly before midnight an argument ensued between two men within an apartment in North Bay. One of the men finally took a pellet gun and pointed it at the other and ordered him to leave. Later Cst.

On April 20 shortly before midnight an argument ensued between two men within an apartment in North Bay. One of the men finally took a pellet gun and pointed it at the other and ordered him to leave.

Later Cst. Vicky Thisdelle, Martin and McLeod of the North Bay police Service attended this residence and arrested the man.

Pierre LAVIGNE, 20, of First Avenue E, is charged with pointing a firearm. He is to appear in court on June 1.

COUNTERFEIT
During the evening of April 20, The Wall bar at the college received 13 counterfeit $20 bills.
There were two sets of serial numbers and similar bills were passed in Peel Region, Halton Region and the Brantford area in the recent past.

SEAT BELT CHARGES
During the days of April 18, 19, 20 the following statistics were obtained on a seat belt blitz by the North Bay Police Service:

23 tickets issued for not wearing seat belts; five warnings issued; 2,200 vehicles stopped.

This is almost 99% compliance rate.
