2 FOR THEFTS FROM VEHICLES On the 14th of April at approximately 12:30 AM Cst. Jeff Warner of the North Bay Police attended the area of Champlain and Oakdale Sts in North Bay in regards to youths going through vehicles.
2 FOR THEFTS FROM VEHICLES

On the 14th of April at approximately 12:30 AM Cst. Jeff Warner of the North Bay Police attended the area of Champlain and Oakdale Sts in North Bay in regards to youths going through vehicles. At this time the officer stopped and arrested 2 young offenders. A 15 year old male youth is charged with Possession of Stolen Property and Breach of Probation. A 17 year youth is charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Trespass by Night and Breach of Probation. Both youths were kept in custody for a bail hearing.

DRUG RAID

On the 12th of April at approximately 7:30 PM officers from the Street Crime Unit of the North Bay Police Service executed a search warrant on a home within the city.
The officers seized marijuana , cocaine and percocets.
Alex TORRES 37 years old of Main St. E. is charged with 3 Counts of Possession for the Purpose. Maria TORRES 36 years old of Main St. E. is charged with 2 Counts of Possession for the Purpose. Both remain in custody for a bail hearing.

STARTING EARLY

On the 13th of April Csts. Barry MacIntosh and Dan Shepstone of the North Bay Police arrested a young offender in regards to stolen cheques which he allegedly endorsed. The officers had to attend his school where the male youth resisted and fought the officers. The 17 year old youth is charged with 2 Counts of Uttering Forged Documents, 2 Counts of Fraud, Possession of Stolen property, Breach of Recognizance and 2 Counts of Probation. He remains in custody for a bail hearing.

SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE

Overnight on the 13th of April vandals smashed various construction vehicles windows parked at the Battano Construction on Wallace Rd. During this same time period Malcolm Auto Repairs on Wallace Rd. had rocks thrown through their sign and CD&G on Mountain View Dr. had some 20 vehicle windows smashed. The vandals also stole tools from Battano Construction and these are described as impact wrenches, tool boxes, laser levels, Eastwind hammers and sensors for pouring concrete. The total value of this damage is estimated at over $10,000 and the theft is estimated at over $2500.

SUSPICIOUS

On the 13th of April between the hours of 5 and 6 AM a female jogger was going through the downtown section of Callander when she was followed by a white pickup truck that would stop on occasion in various driveways and then wait for her and then follow her again. At one point the vehicle made a u turn and passed by her again.
