STOLEN VEHICLE

Overnight on the 30th of March thieves stole a 2001 Ford Ranger pick up from the rear parking lot in the first block of Gladstone Av.
This truck is further described as being gold in colour, an extended cab with a short box 4X4. It also has 31” tires with chrome wheels and the rear cab window is broken. The Ont. licence plate number is 8796MS.

SUSPICIOUS

The North Bay Police Service wishes to advise the general public that we have received a recent complaint of an incident that is alleged to have occurred during the afternoon hours.
On the 31st of March at approximately 3:30 PM to 3:45 PM a young female teenager was approached by a male, driving an old red/rusty 4 door car, who then rolled down the window and asked the girl to get in the vehicle and help him look for his dog. At this, the young girl ran home and Cst. Mark Ethier of the North Bay Police was advised and commenced the investigation.
This vehicle is further described as being large and boxy and the male is further described as being, male white in his 30s with a buzz cut. The driver’s window was electric.
Our Service urges parents and caregivers to speak to their children about being approached by strangers and what to do when something like this occurs. In this case, the street smarts of the child surely prevented something from further happening.
