Labour Day Long Weekend Occurrences

Over the long weekend, North Bay Police responded to 320 calls for service, and arrested and charged 10 people with the following offences:
Five people were charged with public intoxication;
One person was charged with driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood;
One person was charged with one count of causing a disturbance and one count of possession of suspected methamphetamine pills;
One person was charged with sexual assault;
One person was charged with two counts of assault and two counts of breach of probation; and
One person was charged with theft under $5,000 (shoplifting).
 
North Bay man faces charges for assault

Following an investigation into an assault complaint reported to police shortly before midnight on Friday, North Bay Police arrested and charged Peter Quenneville, age 41, of North Bay with:
Two counts of assault; and
Two counts of breach of probation.

It is alleged that on two separate occasions in two separate locations on Friday, September 4, 2015 the accused physically assaulted two men known to him. The first assault occurred at
9 p.m. in the first victim’s downtown apartment and the second assault took place at 11:30 p.m. in the second victim’s downtown apartment.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
