Fail to Stop for School Bus
On the 25th of October 2010 at approximately 8:35 a.m. on the 800 block of Lakeshore Drive, the Platoon Traffic Officer observed a motor vehicle pass a stopped school bus that had its stop arm extended and red lights flashing. As a result, a female driver was charged with Fail to Stop for School Bus and received a $400 fine plus a $90 surcharge.

Also on the 25th of October 2010 at approximately 5:40 p.m. on Birches Road, the Platoon Traffic Officer observed a motor vehicle travelling in excess of 50 km/hr over the posted speed limit. As a result, a male driver was charged with Stunt Driving and summonsed to court at a future date. Also, the male’s vehicle was seized and will be impounded for seven days. In addition, if found guilty, the driver may face a fine of no less than $2000 and no more than $10, 000, possible imprisonment of a term of no more than 6 months or both, and as well the persons drivers licence may be suspended.
