Weekend Over the long weekend the North Bay Police responded to 216 calls for service that resulted in 17 arrests.

Over the long weekend the North Bay Police responded to 216 calls for service that resulted in 17 arrests. Offences included assaults, assaults with weapons, domestic assaults, assault police, criminal harassment, impaired driving, breach of court orders, and public intoxication.

Public Disturbance
On the 12th Oct at 2:30 a.m. officers attended a disturbance on Main St at Wyld St when a man who had been involved in the fighting, assaulted 2 police officers that were clearing the crowd. He was arrested after pepper spray was utilized to gain his compliance. Eric Berthiaume 26 years of Chelmsford was charged with 2 counts of assault police, obstruct police, cause a disturbance, and breach of a court order. A second male also involved in a fight, used a cast on his arm as a weapon that injured another male. Josh Deppish 21 years of Chelmsford was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, assault cause bodily harm and cause a disturbance. Both men were held in custody for bail hearings. Assault w/Weapon
On the 13th Oct at 2:16 a.m. a woman being evicted from a downtown bar for fighting, threw a full beer can at one of the bouncers cutting his head. She then threw her cell phone at a second bouncer cutting his lip. Beth Wabano 22 years of Yelleck trail was arrested and charged with 2 counts of assault with a weapon. She is to appear in court on November 5th 2013. Cst Aaron Northrup is investigating.

Bear Spray
On the 12th Oct at 4:40 a.m. North Bay Police responded to a disturbance in the area of Mattawa St. On arrival police located several people that had been sprayed with bear spray but no serious injuries were reported. Cst Seth Dinsmore is continuing the investigation.
