MAN ATTACKS POLICE & AMBULANCE PERSONNEL On Oct. 4 at approximately 4:30 PM it is alleged that a man being treated by ambulance personnel within a North Bay home suddenly attacked a female paramedic and knocked her to the floor.

On Oct. 4 at approximately 4:30 PM it is alleged that a man being treated by ambulance personnel within a North Bay home suddenly attacked a female paramedic and knocked her to the floor.

He tried to continue the attack and Cst. Mark Ethier of the North Bay Police Service who had attended to assist was also attacked as well.

The man was finally subdued and brought to the North Bay General hospital for observation. Neither the officer nor the paramedic suffered any injuries.

John Frederick PECHALUK, 46, of Worthington St. W. is charged with assault and assaulting police. Once released from the hospital he will be kept in custody for a bail hearing.

ATTEMPTED BREAK AND ENTER
On Oct. 1 between 10:30 and 11 PM, two individuals wearing hooded clothing were seen in the backyard of a home in the 600 block of Tackaberry Drive.

The homeowners' dog frightened the would be thieves away. The next morning the homeowner saw smudges on the basement window.
