MAN FIGHTS WITH POLICE On Nov. 29 constables Bruce Whitehead and Ken Rice, of the North Bay Police Service, were called to the North Bay General Hospital. At this time a man was causing a disturbance.

On Nov. 29 constables Bruce Whitehead and Ken Rice, of the North Bay Police Service, were called to the North Bay General Hospital.

At this time a man was causing a disturbance. The officers tried to calm the man but he began fighting with them. He was arrested. Once in the cells at the police station he defecated and smeared feces on the walls.

David MEANISS, 30, of Front Street, is charged with assaulting a police officer and mischief. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

COUNTERFEIT MONEY SEIZED
On Nov. 29 at approximately 6 PM constables Mark Ethier, Paul Brewer and Steve Trahan, of the North Bay Police Service, attended Wal Mart regarding security holding a woman.

The officers arrived and conducted an investigation into someone having passed counterfeit bills. The officers arrested a woman and seized several counterfeit $20 bills.

Joanne Marguerite HARNISH, 30, of Highway 64 in Sturgeon Falls, is charged with possession of counterfeit money and uttering counterfeit money. She is to attend court on Jan 18. The investigation continues.

BREAK AND ENTER
Overnight on Nov. 27 would-be thieves forcibly entered a dwelling in the 800 block of Airport Road. Nothing appears to have been taken.
