Assault with a Weapon At 1:47am on the 27th Nov, North Bay Police were dispatched to a fight on Clarence St. Upon arrival one male was punching a second male and would not stop when ordered to.

At 1:47am on the 27th Nov, North Bay Police were dispatched to a fight on Clarence St. Upon arrival one male was punching a second male and would not stop when ordered to.

When the officer physically attempted to stop him, the officer was punched in the face. Pepper spray and a baton had to be deployed to facilitate the man’s arrest. Subsequent investigation revealed the victim had initially been struck with a liquor bottle.

John Blais 41yrs of Main St has been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, and assault police. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.
