Door-to-door sales At 3:30 p.m.

Door-to-door sales

At 3:30 p.m. yesterday, the North Bay Police Service received a complaint regarding suspicious door-to-door salesmen who had informed a North Bay resident that they were third-party contractors for the City of North Bay, checking water meters for temperature and fluoride levels.

Following an investigation, North Bay Police located the individuals and learned that they represent a legitimate Markham-based energy business selling residential water softener products and carbon filters, and that they are carrying proper identification. They do not represent the City of North Bay.
