Theft of pills from pharmacy The North Bay Police Service was contacted by a local Pharmacy following an audit on Oxycontin tablets. During this audit, it was learned that several pills were unaccounted for.

The North Bay Police Service was contacted by a local Pharmacy following an audit on Oxycontin tablets. During this audit, it was learned that several pills were unaccounted for. Police were told that an internal theft was suspected and the viewing of a video surveillance system at the pharmacy revealed that an employee had been stealing the narcotics.

On November 14th, Cst. Hughes and Cst. Drolet attended the Pharmacy and arrested, Kathleen ANDERSON, 45 yrs, of Charland Drive, North Bay. A search incident to arrest revealed 3 bottles of Oxycontin tablets inside of her purse. Also seized was $480 in cash as proceeds of crime.

ANDERSON was subsequently charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, two counts of Thefts under $5000 and two counts of Fraud and is scheduled to appear in court on the 3rd of January, 2012.
