North Bay man faces charges of impaired driving and failing to stop
At approximately 5:18 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2014, a complainant contacted North Bay Police to report that the male driver of a van had backed into a truck at Princess and Cassells streets and then fled the scene. Nobody was injured as a result of the collision.
Police stopped the driver at Chippewa and High Streets shortly thereafter.
Following an investigation, North Bay Police charged the driver, a 39-year-old North Bay man, with failure to stop at scene of accident; driving while ability impaired; and driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol in blood. The accused was released with a court date scheduled for Tuesday, November 18, 2014.
