During the past long weekend the North Bay Police Service stopped 343 vehicles in their RIDE duties.

One driver was given a 12 hour suspension and several traffic warnings were issued.

FALSE INFORMATION

On the 19th of May Cst. Randy Adair of the North Bay Police Service obtained a written statement from a 15 year old girl who purported to be someone else.

When the officer discovered the personation he then attended a North Bay location and arrested the girl.

She is charged with Obstruct/Personation and 2 counts of Breach of a recognizance and is to attend court on the 27th of June.

STABBING

On the 19th of May a man attacked another man within a North Bay home. The victim suffered a slight cut to his torso from a knife wound.

Officers from the North Bay Police Service were called and a short time later Csts. Stacy Jackson and Mark McLeod located a man in relation to this incident.

Paul THOMPSON 20 years old of No Fixed Address is charged with Assault With a Weapon and was also wanted on a Possession of Stolen Property Warrant.

He was held for a bail hearing.

BREAK & ENTER

Overnight on the 19th of May thieves forced their way into a residence in the 700 block of Golf Club Rd. by breaking glass at the rear of the house. The bedrooms had been ransacked although it does not appear that anything was taken at the time of report.
