Man accused of robbery
Yesterday, following an investigation into a report of an assault, North Bay Police arrested and charged:
Buck Jerry Bellaire, age 41, of North Bay with:
One count of robbery with violence.
It is alleged that on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at approximately 11:20 p.m., a man in his forties was walking eastbound on Fisher Street at McIntyre Street East when the accused approached him from behind and assaulted him, causing him to fall to the ground and black out. It is also alleged that while the victim was unconscious, the accused took over $400 from his pocket.
The victim, who is known to the accused, was transported to hospital by ambulance at the time of the incident.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
